Because, I think men feel that having hair there is manly, and the same goes for women, and I don't think they want to be manly too.

Girls feel that it looks ugly. Because girls tend to take more time out of their day to make them selvs look and feel pretty. If we didnt shave our legs and armpits, then we wouldnt feel pretty.
Its kind of like a genetic kind of thing, becuase most straight guys dont shave their legs and armpits.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Because of society and standards. Women are suppose to be a certain way in order to be accepted. **** society. I'll have hairy pits if i want to.

I think they do it to stay "sexy." Personally, I am one of the guys who shaves his legs and stuff. Hair harbors dirt and I am not one to be dirty. :)
