I think what you want is Cavalry Scout, the MOS Number is 19D. Infantry MOS are the 11 series. Check out both with your recruiter.
Take it from me, wish I'd gone Cav Scout than 11B

Dude, do yourself a favor and consider the Air Force. Been in 16 years myself, have friends in every branch of the service, including the Coast Guard, and almost all of them have told me "Man, I wish I had enlisted in the Air Force!" There are many reasons I could give for joining the Air Force over the other branches, but here's the biggie -- the Air Force has more jobs that are very in-demand in the private sector than any other branch of the service. Being an anti-assault vehicle specialist sounds like a cool job, but after doing that for 4 years what job can you get in the civilian sector? I started out in Combat Camera as a maintenance troop then retrained into paralegal. After I went from active to reserve I got a paralegal job with Customs. After a year, I was making over $50,000 annual salary. Something to think about...

The job your referring to is a specific job. Let the recruiter know what it is you want and DON"T take no for an answer. Basic Infantry doesn't deal with those vehicles...they shoot, fight, and soldier on the ground. They have some basic vehicles ect, but not the high tech ones or the tanks.

If your going to job the Army, please make sure it's what you want first. I've seen alot a questions on here asking what they should do to get out and what to do if they went AWOL.
I'm for you joining the military. I really am! I support our troops 100%.
By the way, working with tanks is a different MOS all together. Infantry is your basic MOS, alot of rucking, small arms fire, etc. When I was in, we supported the infantry and they had just started letting them drive.

I see there are all types of advice givers here, so I might as well put my 2 cents worth in.
I spent 13 years in the Air Force, now I am in the Army National Guard, full time. I am a 15T and as far as I am concerned it is the best job for me. I can maintain my helo, and go flying in it often. Beats the hell out of walking any where.
But for you I would advise to consider all the options, all the branches of service and then choose one that will benefit you while helping your country......

there is a 63b mos (job) and it is called the wheeled vehicle maintence program is that what you are interested in working on vehicles if not go to the goarmy website and you can look up what the different jobs are and what they entail, the army is the only branch of service that guarantees you a job in the area you want but thats only if you take the asvab test and score high in that area also an important word of advice before you join....do not sign anything without making sure its on your contract, any bonuses, jobs, incentives etc they have to be in writing on your contract before they will be honored a recruiter will tell you anything you want to hear but cannot guarantee anything but if its in on your contract and you and he sign then they have to honor it. good luck you are joining an incredible institution and they will be glad to have you, its tough but so are most things in life that are worth it........remember this cause you will be saying it a lot during basic......HOOAAH !!! (prounounced who-ah!)

I was a 19k tank crewman and i picked that job when i went in. No matter what MOS you take you have to go do both basic training and mos specific ait(advanced individual training) except in my case basic and ait when combined into an osut (one station unit training)

Explore all your options with your recruiter! They have a quota just like a car salesman so you have to make sure you get your money's worth. The video may be cool but don't get distracted. Also, look at the future employment options.

I'll be sure to take your IP address, find out your name, and inform my commander that you shouldn't be enlisted due to your openly expressed racist views on this website.
