Google "power bars" and "recipes". There are some great home made recipes for power bars and other high energy healthy snacks online now. My husband is an elite athlete and I make power bars for him on a weekly basis. The recipes usually start as being molded into a sheet cake pan, so you can cut them into smaller "nugget" pieces if you want. Actually, that's what I do, so he can eat as little or as much as he wants depending on his need.

Gawd, your team parents are awesome. We usually get salty fatty chips which make absolutely NO sense to me at all. My favorite sport snack is the classic Popsicle. Growing up that is *always* what was given after the game so it's just stuck in my brain I guess. But what better way to cool down! Keep in them in a cooler with ice and they'll still be frozen. You can pair it with water bottles since they will already be getting sugar from the treat. They have those small ones shaped like sports balls. Aquapods, I think. For fruit, anything really. It doesn't have to be new or different. Watermelon is always a fave. Or clementines. eta,,, I like the trail mix or nuts idea from PP

If the kids want sweet, you cannot beat some chilled watermelon cubes, which have the added bonus of seed spitting contests. Seedless grapes are also a fave of mine. Another delish snack is cucumber with a drizzle of ranch dressing or in sandwiches with fresh lettuce and tomato. My kids devour that stuff like it was junk food.

Ants on a log is one of my favorites. Celery sticks, peanut butter and raisins stuck in the peanutbutter.

Apple slices wrapped in cheese, or apple slices on tooth picks with cubed cheese. Sandwich bites using turkey or chicken breast. Carrot sticks with lite ranch dressing. Just a few ideas for you.

All our team ever got was candy chips, and cookies.. And at half time we had are oranges... I think the soccer players will appreciate junk food they earned it.. If you want to pack apples, and bannanas don't be suprised if the kids throw them out.. I would get them brownies,, yummy.
