A few months ago, my sister Colleen lost her 10 y/o daughter Anne to leukemia. It has been such a tragedy for our family. Well, Colleen hasn't been able to let go of Anne's body because she's so devastated.

She's been keeping her body in the meat freezer in their garage. We think it may be time for Colleen to let go. It's just tearing her apart. We had dinner at her house last night and the porkchops just didn't taste right.

Me and my other sisters were wondering if there is a taxidermist in Ohio (Akron area) who can stuff and mount Anne's body for display. Colleen's birthday will be coming up in September and we think it would make a wonderful gift to be able to keep Anne's memory alive in an appropriate way.

We'll want to display Anne in the living room next to the family portraits posed in a jumprope scene, mid-jump (jumprope was her favorite game). We'd run a wire through the middle of the jumprope to create the illusion. Do you think this would cost extra?

I am sorry for your loss. Any licensed taxidermist can do the job. Action poses are necessarily extra. You can save a little bit of money if you gut her yourself.

Taxidermists are not trained or legally permitted to perform embalming procedures. It may be possible to find a Mortician to help with information on possibly freeze-drying the human cadaver. This is not unheard of ... I've listed a website below to show you some pics of exhibits around the world. But in all honesty ... I'm not sure having your neices body on display is humanly ethical. Let her have peace and not lie in a freezer for all eternity. May God be with you all !

I think she needs to go to counseling asap. I don't think that is a good idea. I think a gravesite is more appropriate. Staring at her body there everyday would only make it worse and never allow her to properly grieve and heal from it all. She needs to hold her memory, not her body. How about a burial, maybe in her backyard. She could put a bench out back and a garden. Then it would be her daughters special garden. I think that would be better. the poor little girls soul probably is wanting to move on as well, dont you think??

i am ashamed to occupy the same state as you. people like you are only supposed to live in backwater Kentucky. WTF? why cant you just bury her like a normal family? if you really really miss her that much, why not go to a wax museum and get something done for her there for you to bring home? christ.

i get the feeling you are kidding, because nobody explains how sex works to a little kid and then "show them yours" as it was explained in one of your previous questions. your judgment must be severely altered, or you must have your priorities all wrong. we do not remember the loss of our loved ones by preserving and then decorating their bodies.

lets say it were acceptable, and we could get past all that. if shes been in the freezer all this time, her cellular structure will be altered. it will be impossible for her to thaw enough for her body to be stuffed without looking as though she's had freezer burn. if you were going to do this, you should have done it directly after her death.

which brings up another point, how can we be sure she died of some form of cancer? the doctors cannot possibly be aware that this little girl did not have a proper burial. did they honestly just stuff her in the freezer after she died? her mother could not possibly respect her in anyway even while she was alive if she did this to her once she died.

colleen murdered her daughter. i dont care if you say theres another cause of death, you need to go to the police regarding this matter, there cant be that many colleens in the akron area, i can do it for you. infact i think i will.

I hope you aren't serious about this.

If you are though, I do know for a fact that there is at least one taxidermist out there who would do this for you without charge. You would have to wait a few years for him to get out of prison first though. He's currently there serving 5 years for child molestation (the prosecutor was a good friend of his, so the multiple counts of attempted rape all got "plea bargained" away). Of course, he'd "mount" your niece's body in more ways than one.

That is the sort of perverted person that it would require to perform the activity you mentioned. Please don't mention this disgusting idea to anyone again. It isn't funny and if you are seriously considering it then you cannot be mentally stable.

ok i understand that its hard to lose someone that you love...TRUST me i know first hand, i have experienced plenty of loss in my life...but that is NOT the answer!!! she should seek professional help since she is obviously having a difficult time!!! i'm not saying that in a mean or even judging way...i really do think that she should find help so that she can let go and go through the grief process effectively...she'll never be the same obviously since no one can bring her daughter back, but freezing her daughter's body, stuffing it, and then setting it up on display isn't the solution...thats just wrong...leave her body alone, i know that when i die there is no way that i would want my family to do that!!!!!! please just think about it and try to find your sister some help, and please just bury Anne and move on, just cuz she is gone doesn't mean you have to forget about her...think about her all the time, that in itself will keep her spirit "alive" in a way...don't put her body up on display like its a trophy piece or some piece of decoration that you picked up

I have a sense of humor, but questions that make fun of someone who is dead, or talk about incest and pedophillia ARE NOT FUNNY!!! They are just plain sick, and they come from a sick mind, and those of you who laugh about the things are just as sick. They are not jokes in any sense of the word.

Do you like Yahoo Answers? If you do, you sure have a FUNNY way of showing it. It is sick posts like this that give this service a bad name, and who could ultimately be the reason for it to close down. So enjoy your HUMOR while you can.

maximum remarkable me if i'm incorrect, yet i think of you individuals might desire to be in detention center. Or, the psych ward. Leukemia isn't humorous. and you're very disturbed. Please get help. additionally, retaining a ineffective physique in a freezer is prohibited. once you're ultimately busted by skill of the scientific examiner, you will all be levied hefty fines and there will be detention center time. in certainty, you're very fortunate to be in between the greater conservative states, desire you get a good choose, you are going to % it.

that is sick. what the hell is wrong with you people. i feel sorry for the mother of the 10 yr old. no parent should live to see their child go, but it happens and we have to move on with our lives. stuffing the body of a 10 yr old girl should be illegal. dead people should not be put on display, its very disrepectful to the dead no matter what religion or belief you have. at least creamate the body. shes never going to move past this tragedy if you guys dont help her, and stuffing the body sure as hell wont do it.
