I like this guy and my friends and others want me to ask him out or even to just hang out.

I actually asked him out in front of his mother and brother. We dated, we engaged, we married, we had two kids. I guess it worked out ok.

I wouldn't exactly ask him out, but I would make it known to him that you are available to go out. Definitely turn the flirting skills up to super high volume. I say don't ask him out only because men enjoy the thrill of pursuing a woman. While he may say yes if you ask, even in our modern times, it's best to let the man think he's taking the lead; it protects their ego.

To more directly answer your question, yes, I have asked a guy out once, and that's exactly how many times we went out.

always start with hanging out or somethign casual :)
I've asked plenty of guys out, most are receptive and will go out a few have said no because they had girlfriend or i wasnt their type.

Just be brave

Just walk up to him and ask hay you want something to drink or just start talking to him then ask do you want to get a soda or something that all.
