I feel like dinner tonight could be very awkward... especially since we always have dinner in the dining room.

Well, they should be happy that you are still together, although you do know that they are probably slightly traumatized and blinded by what they saw, right? Seriously though, just give it some time and it will not be such an issue. It will however be awkward for a while, so you should probably eat out tonight.

They are teenagers and hopefully know u have sex, but it was still shocking. Just explain that mom and dad play around once in a while and u are sorry they had to witness it. Make sure they never do again and it will be OK imho

Just tell them to remember that if they want to do it on the dining room table or elsewhere they had better use protection. After all, you don't want to get the table dirty ;)

Well I'm sure they know what you were doing, so just be honest and tell them that when they get older and are married or however you want to explain that part, people do things like that sometimes. If they ask questions answer them, don't get embarrased, it's better for you to teach them then having them learn it from somewhere else.

Congrat! you now have the worlds easiest way to get started into one of those "Talks" parents are supposed to have with there kids...Go out, by condoms to use as part of a type of presentation of how to have "it" responsibly and all that..now that you've been caught, you can be honest as h ell with your kids...it'll be good for in the long term as far as relationship wise with your kids.

Be honest, talk to them but try not make it such BIG deal it will make it worse when dinner comes around.

Tell them it was suddenly very hot in the kitchen so you both had to take your clothes off. And you were eating M&Ms® and then you dropped one and it bounced high off the floor. It somehow went in between mom's legs. It was the last green one--your favorite color--so you had to try to take it out. You couldn't find anything around to retrieve it with, so you made your penis hard and were trying to take the M&M® out with it when they walked in.
There's an explanation for everything. =D
