Tell your friend this is not the end but a beginning. This is a turning point in her life to look within and realize that she can release herself from the pills. Encourage her to find other interests whether it is walking through the park or painting. I believe this will help keep her mind off of the pills as well.

I also believe prayer and hope help too.

THE ONLY WAY IT WILL WORK IS if she wants it to.i never really agreed with short term detox programs. its not enought time. she is going to feel like crap in 5 days. it will take longer than 5 days to detox. lock her in the house for a least 5 months then lets talk detox. sorry i did 3 years in detox and i was just booze. 5 days just isnt long enough. i hope your a good friend b/c shes going to need you really bad. hang tough dont let her lie to you.if you see old patterns nip it in the butt. hopefully they will help her set up a support group in na. narcotics annomous. you might want to go with her to a meeting or 2.ggod luck. take care of yourself b/c no else will

Tell her to take it one day at a time, that she has the love and support of many people, she is not alone and that all things pass and this will to.

When my cousin went through it I told him that I love him and always will no matter what. I told him he isn't alone and regardless I'll be by his side. Try telling your friend something like that...
