Luckily, I managed to get the opportunity to visit New York! I'm actually going in November, and I was wondering whihc of those musicals I should see. I want one I can take a small child to (believe me, when he sees something on stage, he's as quiet as when he is sleeping).

Lion King hands down. Mary Poppins and Tarzan are very good, but of the Disney musicals, Lion King is the best (with Beauty and the Beast coming in a close second).

I would choose Lion King as it is a sure thing for a child. Mary Poppins will be amazing and very expensive, as it will have just opened. Third choice is Tarzan. I love that you want to take a child to the theater!

Definitely The Lion King. Unbelievable production. Get floor seats though, as close as possible. You wont be sorry. And if sold out, go see Beauty and the Beast before considering Tarzan.
