first of good lucj and also, ALL YOU can do is wait. if ur baby has diabetes, it will be kinda hard, but its just an obstacle you'll have to face. at least they have a solution to the problem with insulin, alot of parents' babies have an illness not cureable, so be lucky, i hope ur baby doesnt have diabetes but untill you know dont stress and if they do, you'll just have to be more cautious and give them insulin

also it sounds like ur aby prolly doesnt have it, babies weight changes alot. going up then down and back up and back down, so hope for the best

hope i helped, good luck

Learn this now. Your Doctor, not Yahoo is your best source of information. Develop a good relationship with him/her now. A phone call doesn't cost you anything and can bring real help and information not just advise, wishful thinking, and sympathy. And you and your baby need real medical help--pick up the phone. Listen to yourself--you say you're worried sick. Half of becoming a good parent is learning to listen to your gut. Don't wait. Make the call.

Majority diabetics are adult onsets, meaning they get it later in life. Very very few are born with it. How old is your baby now? Started crawling? That takes energy and burns calories as well. I'd say don't worry, until the doctor says there is something to worry about.

My daughter was diagnosed with diabetes at age 9 months. The constant drinking is a HUGE warning sign, and your son should be tested right away. Please contact me via email if you need more help.
