No because God created science and technology as a way for us to understand the world, and gave us the ability to reason and think and imagine things to make our life on earth better.

I estimate the lifespan of religion to be another 100 years. That's a few generations to thin the brainwashing, and to improve our educational system.

If you think about it, the religious empires that currently "rule" the world have been around for about 2000-3000 years. Only in the last 200 years have they been questioned, studied, and debunked. Our scientific knowledge has expanded exponentially since then, as has our ability to communicate ideas efficiently and accurately to others.

The fall of these religious empires is imminent. Even though they still control much of the world, and they're fighting tooth and nail not to lose that control, their outdated myths simply cannot stand up to serious inquiry. The only reason these religions still exist, in fact, is because the majority of people out there simply don't inquire. And the churches are trying their best to keep it that way.

That's where public education comes in. As long as the fundies aren't able to infect our public school systems, our children will recieve an unbiased, scientifically sound education. And that education will allow them to see just how silly these religious beliefs truly are.

So, like I said.... a few more generations, and our grandchildren will literally wonder how in the hell any of us believed this stuff.

I don't think people will ever have all the answers to life and death, so there will always be a need for faith of some kind. Even if it's just the belief that you'll make good fertilizer. Maybe ORGANIZED religion will become a thing of the past, which will probably be a good thing, but I think religion and spirituality are important opiates for the masses. We all need a little hope, you know?

i'm hoping so. there has been plenty affliction, loss of strategies, terrorism, genocide etc in the identify of religion. Hate maximum ordinarily, branch of humanity too, comes from faith. It businesses human beings against each and each diverse. and that's no longer marvelous, nor logical for any actually pondering being. Many human beings at contemporary are organising to comprehend what others so a methods weren't able to have an understand-how of approximately faith and the wear that it does to us all; as solid as the way it has and keeps to maintain humanity decrease back from its finished understand-how. probably while human beings observe that Christianity develop into created by the Roman Piso companion and childrens, Christianity will quit to be. And if/while that happens, the entertainment of the international's religions could additionally fall. it won't have the capacity to take place too at as quickly as.

Science was created by man,not any said "god"

Some people would argue that true "religion" is already a thing of the past. The Christians no longer burn heretics,a poltical tatic used by some early churches. The religionist of today is the hetretic of yesterday, religionists have embraced materialism, etc. All the true signs of religion being discredited.

i believe that if more people today took religion literally, the general public's opinion that religion equals some kind of hypocrisy or double life on the part of the religionist would be very different.

Religious strains have evolved that are resiliant to reason. If the human race survives long enough, those most susceptible to religion may be selected out of the gene pool. That's probably the only way it could end.

That would be fantastic since almost every war has been started because of someones religious beliefs...i.e the middle east

Even the crusades and the like...if religion were to be eradicated, the world would be a better place

skitz122,"YES",religions,and this includes atheism & non-believers, have served their purpose, and will melt away. Science is now proving that GOD envisioned (CREATED) everything, then released in into manifestion thru the "BIG BANG". Science and technoligy schools will be teaching the metaphysics of creation.

Only for the seven years of the Tribulation. But even in that time, there will be underground churches of new believers that were left behind durring the rapture. After that, Christ will build his kingdom here on earth and reign here for 1000 years.
