is it true that it makes u gain a lot of weight?

any form of birth-control can make u gain weight but i think depo does actually do it. if i were u i'd look into it bc it varies with different women.

I never gained any weight, but I started taking it after my daughter was born, and it made it very hard to loose my weight. Took it for a year, and after I stopped it, lost all my weight in about 6 months. I am now on the pill, and can't seem to loose the weight from my last baby I had two and a half years ago. So I guess any type of birth control can make you either gain weight, or keep you from loosing it.

Yes, I gained like 25 pounds on depo in 3 months. I only gained 30 in 9 months when I was pregnant with my son. I don't like depo because even if you're a week late getting the shot, you bleed like crazy. Depo sucks!

I was on the shot for 2 years it made me gain water weight but it wasn't a lot i didn't exercise or watched what i ate either. so i can't blame it all on the shot. I used it because i couldn't remember to take the pill and the patch wasn't for me so don't chose your birth control on the weight gain because that differs from person to person go by what works best for you and your schedule.

100% true I weighed 100 pounds when i got on it now i weigh 175 and I have been off the shot for 5 years you never loose the weight and it makes your hair fall out. My cousions both take it and they are gettin fatter and fatter with each shot

yep and it could make you loose alot of weight.. you'll be up and down in weight. the first shot I got I weighed 140 3 months later I weighed 175... then after 6 months I was back down to 135....

I gained wait, but i am also haveing problems with dipretion. I would sugest trying the pill first. it was a last resort for me.

Yes, it also causes heavy periods and moodiness like you've never seen before!! Run away from the shot!!!!

yes, i gained 10 pounds the first year, then 20 the next.... GET OFF OF IT.. it also made me depressed...

it depends on the person. i know someone who gained a ton, but i didn't gain any.
