I'm sorry to be the one to say this, but you won't. The first love is the one you will always remember. Just try to hold on to the good times that way you will be able to move on. Remeber once you have learned to love you can always love again

I'm in the same situation, but what's helping me a lot is to everyday, attempt to do something special for yourself. Try reading your favorite book, go to the gym, hang out with friends, and or help someone in need. That's my favorite one, because it makes you feel you have done something special. It's wonderful for the self-esteem.
Oh, being in love the first time is the hardest. They say the first cut is the deepest. Time will heal your wounds. Listen, we can't make people love us, or even respect us. If they are not willing to yield freely; we need to dust the dirt off; and walk away. Listen, I'm taking my own advice on this one! I hope you do the same!!!!

Broken heart takes time to heal, but be reassured that it will. Time heals all, and when you think its unbearable right now, try to remember this time when you are over him. And maybe you will not totally forget him but it will not be as painful. Move on, explore other possibilities. Think of more pain being with someone who doesn't love you as much as you love him. Put yourself on top of the totem pole of priority of importance. That way, you will find people who will treasure you for your worth. And yes, as you fall in and out of love in the future, it will still hurt but it will not be as bad. Treasure the good memories but don't get stuck.

You give it time...you make up your mind you're not going to let the situation control your life...and you move on...
There will be other loves and great times...don't let someone rent space in your head or heart for free...when you two went your separate ways it meant that you were not a good match or the time wasn't right...
No point in dwelling on it too long...grieve and get it out of your system...be thankful for the experience and great memories...learn any lessons there were to learn...and move forward...

Maybe he just wasn't the one. Think of how much fun you'll have when "the one" does come along. Haven't you ever looked back on a relationship that you thought was so wonderful and now you think, "what the hell was I thinking"?

a night out with the girls and some drinking... that'll do the trick. May only be temporary but it's a start.
