Mmm, yeah. There are certain "milestones" with age. For example a 22 and a 26 year old aren't so far a part. But a 12 and a 16 yr old are. Maybe from 15 to 17 is one age group that meshes together, 12-15 another 18-22/23 another, etc. The older you get, the less noticeable the gaps since maturity tends to stall or happen at a slower pace. But at your age , it's one learning experience after the next, so yeah, I would say so...

There is a big difference in 12 year olds and 16 year olds. However wait about 6 years. You'll be 18 and he will be 22. That is exceptable. You have had some time to grow up.

Well, when he is 30, you'll only be 26. Number wise, whats the big deal with ages. I can see it if he was 18 and you are 12, yeah thats kinda yucky. But you know, his HS guy friends will give him S--t for hanging with a 12 year old. Its a fact of life. Ok, so you like him, if he likes you back, cool, just dont go and be having s e x with the guy. You're waaay too young for that. At least wait till you are 14 or 16. Of course by then, you'll be over this guy and be interested in some other guy....

16-12 = 4 and 4 is one third of 12.

yes he is a bit out of your age limit. it is not necessarily the age difference in years, but the emotional changes he has already gone through and might still be that you have yet to experience. he is a teenage and is most likely a lot more forward about sex and other things that a twelve year old should not even hear about! dating someone with that big of a emotional difference could make you do things you don't really want to, or aren't ready to do! stick with someone you own age, at least until you hit your mid teenage years. but who says you can't be friends?

12 is too young to be on a computer let alone trying to find your way into some kids superman underwear and yes a 16 yo will want to do things that you are not ready for
