I want to loose about 30-35 pounds, by January. i've heard of cabbage and soup diets and I don't think I could follow that. Does anybody have any ideas how I could safely loose the weight? I walk every day and I drink water. I don't eat that much, I just gained like 15 pounds when I got pregnant with my second baby and since I'm not pregnant anymore I want to loose the weight but safely without taking diet pills. Any tips or links to websites that will help? Thanks, and please no RUDE comments.. :-)

I think you're doing well with what you are doing now.
Just keep up the exersize, eat healthy, smaller meals more frequently. Remember, anything worth doing takes time, you'll get there ;) Stay positive, but don't overdo it either ;)

I am 17 and overweight and the last week I have adopted the vegan lifestyle as in no meat or animal products. I used to think it was crazy but I have been doing wonderfully and lost 7 pounds this week! I know it is a little radical, but it might benefit you to try it...it certainly worked for me! For a little motivation to cut animal products see "meet your meat" on youtube. I hope it helps!

Try eating 4-6 smaller meals spaced evenly through the day. Cut out as much processed food, sweets and salts as you can. Focus on fruits, vegetables, proteins and dairy. No sodas - not even diet sodas (they stimulate the appetite!). Keep drinking lots of water and walking daily.

The best thing to keep in mind is that exercise is key. If you exercise for at least an hour five days out of the week (walking, running, biking, the gym) and eat healthy - no sweets, processed foods, sodas, the weight should come off. I too am tyring to tone up and was giving information on a site today to keep a food journal. I think this is going to help me and could help you! www.fitday.com try that to keep your food in check. you should only eat 2200 calories a day. it adds up fast. but veggies and water are 0. so eat right and work out, to sweat and you should see the pounds melt away.

Cabbage diet only works temporarily because you're literally starving yourself. Come on, it's cabbage...a bunch of water. Just continue to walk, eat 6 small healthy meals a day so you keep your metabolism running and your blood sugar stable (otherwise, you get those insane crashes and/or cravings), and try some weight training. Weight training will build muscles which in turn will burn more calories as well as keep you lean. Pilates has worked wonders for me personally as well as doing a series of exercises on one of those big exercise balls. Good luck!

Try to walk faster and longer. If you used to walk for 2 blocks in 30 minutes, make it 4 blocks in 45 minutes. If there area with hills, try to take that path. You can also take different kind of sports, such as swimming to add variety in your exercise.

Try to lift some weight too. When you have more musle, your body burn more calories.

eat more raw food...

When you eat raw food like carrots, you are only able to assimilate a small percentage of the available beta carotene. When a carrot is juiced, removing the fiber, a LARGE percentage of the beta carotene can be assimilated by your body
