I understand that President Bush signed an order that those who join the military and go to combat duty are eligible for citizenship on day one.

Note there are requirements for joining the army, which not immigration related.

yes you can.though I would go talk to a recruiter first as someone already suggested.I know they had been allowing illegals to join the military to meet the recruitment quota because not many people were joining. And they do promise citizenship as soon as your done with your basic trainning and complete your years of service. One of my cousins joined the army just for that reason and now is a citizen.Though I know i'm gonna receive a lot of hate for saying this but even though many on here claim they will fight to defend their country not many of the young people believe that.Military service is just another job that americans will not do.

i fairly do not imagine so, because an unlawful immigrant gained't have a social protection volume, and if an unlawful needs to affix a federally ruled company like the armed facilities, or FBI, or CIA, or maybe some public workplace like city mayor, governor, or senator, they could surely must have a social protection volume for tax applications.

you can join the army... but its not a for sure thing that we will give you legal status. You are a law breaker... a CRIMINAL. And I'm not too sure the army wants criminals. No one does in that fact. Swim, run, jump or smugle your way back to your country! FAST!
