if you had an entry level job in a great environment (air conditioning, insurance, no pressure, friendly co-workers, computer access), but then was let go, and need cash asap, would you go find work at jobs, like lifting
cargo, mowing lawns, waiting tables, delivering pizza, cleaning toilets to make cash to pay debts? it seems a step below my original job.

Don't live in the pass. (The loss of the job that you liked is water under the bridge). Now you must look to the future.

I don't reside in the United States. I know that if you collect unemployment insurance an you turn down the jobs that the interviewer offers, you will find yourself in court having to pay back all of the money they paid you.

We are have to suck it up in life and sometimes perform jobs that we feel are below us. (Beats having your credit destroyed).

Plus while you work one of these jobs, you can always looks for something better.

Good luck job hunting.

Apparantly you wasn't cut out for the 'great environment' job or they would have kept you..

..it sux, because if you take a crap job to pay the bills, you won't have the time to look for a good one again...

I guess you have to do what you have to in order to pay the bills but I know how much that sucks.

Are you saying that you are better than folks who do those jobs? Seems kinda snooty to me.
