i'm male and frequently wet the bed from about 5 - to about 11! i had horrible night-mares in which i urinated! i stopped at about the time i began to have nocturnal erections (it's hard to go with an erection) which woke me up.
my bed wetting began when the dreadful fear of my abusive/frightening dad took hold. it seems that i spent my entire early childhood SCARD TO DEATH OF MY PARENTS. the horrible tensions of our everyday life was relieved in sleep when i'd wet - often several times a night! the rubber sheets, spankings, diet restrictions, self-hate, discomfort, etc. was mind boggling.

there's much more to this but i'd like to suggest that, if your kid is wetting, you might consider the kid's emotional/psychological condition (especially FEARS) along with genetic/physical causes. i know that you, like my parents, don't want to ever admit that YOU ARE THE CAUSE of your kid's reactions/behavior but YOU ARE for the most part! so, do somethng about your parenting!

"It would be unfortunate if some children continued to suffer without the appropriate help because parents believed it must be their fault."
.....and even more unfortunate if the guilty parents made no further efforts to help their kid.

I am sorry you had such bad experiences as a child.

Bed wetting certainly may have some emotional causes. However, many cases of bed wetting have a biological reason that can be addressed. It would be unfortunate if some children continued to suffer without the appropriate help because parents believed it must be their fault.

Take care.

Umm not sure what the question was but would like to thank you for a child's insight into bed wetting I have been having trouble with my daughter wetting the bed and after your insight I am gonna have a sit down talk with her and see if there is a fear or something that I can do to help...

For you parental hate please speak to someone about that... not all parents are bad, we may all make mistakes but we are not all bad....

Not all parents are bad. We all make mistakes but we want the best for our children. God can make you feel better and help you get past your fears.
