I'm having a baby shower, what kind of favors would make for priceless memories?

I'm going to be having a baby shower(after baby is born) fairly soon, and I want it to be a personal and fun experience. I have thought of having those m&m's that say it's a boy or it's a girl (we are waiting to find out the gender) and pacifier candy etc. Any ideas or themes would be fabulous... want to stay away from over-done themes like whinnie the poo and disney collections.

My sister in law bought these little metal pales and put baby foot prints on them, then she got little see-through bags and filled them with all sorts of pastel candies. Then she tied them with ribbon that she had hung a little baby rattle on. She even printed out tags on them that said the date and thank you on it. It was the sweetest thing ever and so easy to make. Everyone loved them and thought she had just ordered them on line! I still have mine!

What about cute little baby picture frames? You could send all guests a picture after the baby gets them done at the hospital. A nice way to involve the guests is to have them write their best advice for parenting in a book for the new mom to be, classify it by age groups. A nice idea for the baby is to save a newspaper from the day of it's birth and give it to them on their 21st birthday so they could see what the world was like on the day they were born.

Get some cute picture frames at a dollar store and make lots of copies of one of your ultra sounds just big enough to fit in the frames. They will be super cute, and that is a fun way for everyone to have a small picture to show the baby when they are older. You can also get those candy wrappers made that say "faith blah blah was born on blah blah at blah" Those are so super cute, my sister in law just had some made for her baby shower. If you can find them you can get small nic nacs of a baby for every ones gift bag. I went to a baby shower once (after the birth), where the favors were Hershey candy bars, but instead of it saying "Hershey" on the rapper, it said "Hereheis". Here-He-Is, or you could do "Here-She-Is". On the back where the nutritional facts go, it had all of the baby's stats, and info about the family. It really is a cute favor, but I don't know how to order them....sorry!
