I get enough caffine in the morning . . .
I keep feeling like falling asleep at work about 1 - 3pm, even though I have been getting plenty of sleep at night.
What can I do to wake myself up?

Speaking of coffee--I wonder if it would help if I skipped the morning coffee. Could be coming down off the caffene that's doing it. . .
Lots of good answers, thanks :)

I'm at work.
I do computer analysis/programming. It's usually pretty engaging, though there are slow moments--waiting for a script to run, etc.

Drink water... Hydrate yourself... take a brisk walk....
just dont grab a pop or sugar substance to wake you up.. you will crash later on!

try eating a lighter lunch and more snacks. although we need carbohydrates, try not to eat a ton of carbs a lunch time, and if you do, try not to eat over processed carbs like white bread, rolls, candies, cakes, cookies, etc. these type of carbs spike your blood sugar and causes a rapid down fall which makes you feel drowsy. try eating whole wheat, whole grain, high fiber carbs and a little fruit and vegies for lunch. make sure to have some lean protein as well which will make you feel satisfied longer. when snacking, try having some fruit and yogurt, or fruit and 1/2 ham sandwich or some cheese. instead of 3 meals a day, try dividing your calories between 3 snacks and 3 meals. to wake yourself up, try walking for 10-15 minutes at brisk pace. not only is this good for you, but it will get more oxygen into your body and make you feel invigorated. good luck

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. I usually like to get up from my desk around 2-3 and walk around a little and do a quick strech, make some herbal tea and grab some veggies to snack on and that will usually give me a burst of energy to get through the day.

Are you at work? If so, find another job that keeps you occupied. If no, then try to do housework, go grocery shopping or go for a walk, do NOT stay on the couch watching TV--it will make you more sleepy. ;) Hope that helps.

eat a good breakfast, a lunch that is not too starchy that turns to sugar and drink lots of water. If that doesn't work take that 15 min. break that by law says that you can take and go for a short walk or away from your desk.

I know what your going through, I had that problem too. I started getting bored with my job. There was more things that I needed to keep myself busy. Big large glass of water, with ice. Yes and maybe a little desk fan.

Try stretching - get up and walk around for a minute or two if you can. If you are allowed to have a snack - try eating baby carrots or some natural almonds to give you a bit of a pep.

Eat a lighter lunch. No sugar, bread, pasta, anything else made from white flour.
Add more protein to your breakfast.
