I am around 200 pounds and I am wanting to loose around 50 pounds I have 4 children all under the ages of 5 and only one of them is in school so a gym and so on are totaly out. I try to watch what I eat and I try to be active. With 4 kids I have to be active. If I can loose more that 50 that would be great because my boyfriend can't stand how big I am. So if I could loose more than 50 he would get off my butt about how big I am.

i'm sorry girl, if he's that type of person then i'd kick him to the curb myself. i would not change what or who i am for any man, EVER!! there a one of them worth that, and if he's not happy with the way you look then to heck with him. if you want to loose weight, do it for yourself not for someone else.

anyway, if you really want to loose weight. the best thing to do is take it one day at a time. a new plan i have found is nothing to eat before 10:30 am and nothing to eat after 7:30 pm, eat yogurt as your very last snack/meal of the day (it's light and healthy) and eat very small meals. that way, your body burns up a lot of your stored fat as you're not eating much for your body to burn. the more stored fat it burns, you'll loose weight. it's a slow process, but it does work. i've been on it for a week or so now and i've already lost 2 pounds. i do treat myself occasionally to chocolate and stuff, but not much.

Hi Sarah,

I am sorry to hear that your boyfriend keeps nagging to your for being big. He shoul be supporting in the process of losing weight instead of complaining. I don't know your diet plan or the activities you are doing but the idea of loosing weight is basically burning more calories than what you take in a day. These are a few ideasoyfriend m you can try for loosing weight:
1. Stop drinking soda, diet soda, sport juice, flavored water or any fruit juices.
2. Avoid fast food restaurant.
3. Eat more vegetables
4. Try to reduce carb from rice, pasta and potatoes.
5. Build more musle. When you have more musle, your body burns more calories even when you are sleeping.
6. Drink more water since your body sometimes confused between thirty and hungry.
7. Try to pick up different activities / exercise that you can do with the whole family, for example walking around the neighborhood for 30 minutes. I'm you sure that you are busy with 4 kids, but sometimes your body is getting used to is and it is not as effective as it should be. Athletes has to change their training program once in a while to keep the challanging environment.

And my last advise it to keep yourself motivated. Loosing weight for your noisy boyfriend might not keep you motivated for long, but if you think about having a healthier life or become the hottest mom in your neighboorhood... that will keep you going for a long time.

I wish you well... and good luck with your diet.

Why don't you start with something simple such as walking and work your way up from there? I know a gentleman who was obese and was put in the hospital with a heart condition and they told him that if he didn't make some changes, he wouldn't live to see his children grow up. This spurred him into action right away. He started walking to the corner from his house twice a day and then started taking longer walks. He also drank LOTS of water. He would up losing so much weight that I didn't even recognize him the next time I saw him.

Leslie Sansone has walking videos that everyone tells me are just great. Myself, I do TaeBo, TurboJam, Carmen Electra, strength training, the treadmill and the elliptical trainer. I've lost 22 lbs this way and I feel SOOOOO much better about myself.

Good luck and try not to let him get you down about it. Keep us posted. Take care.

Buy your self a treadmill. It will cost you about $400 and use it at home when the kids have gone to bed.
I know what you`re going to say, "When the kids have gone to be, I`m exhausted and want to go to bed myself!" If that is the case, that push yourself to do it. Sacrifice is the only way you are going to loose 50lbs. Sacrifice and sweat.
It isn`t as simple as eating healthy either. Portion plays a big part. Eat healthy, but eat smaller. If you eat something small and healthy, every 2 hours, you will keep your metabolism contantly burning the calories you consume. Your body burns them trying to digest what you eat. So try this on top of excersizing
8:00am - Plain Bagel with a tiny bit of margarine and a glass of juice
10:00am - Bowl of fruit
12:00pm - Small bowl of soup and half a Turkey sandwhich
2:00pm - low fat granola bar
4:00pm - Banana
6:00pm - Dinner consisting of a piece of meat or fish no bigger than the size of your palm and a side of vegtables (No carbs)

Thats it! No more than that. If you neeeeed to snack, snack on Celery. It has negative calories.
Avoid condiments like mayo(fat), ketchup(sugar), butter and too much margarine.

BEST OF LUCK

First of all, stop having kids with your boy friend. He's a loser because he's on your a.. for losing weight. You lose the weight because you want to and not for him. Obviously you can't be disgusting because he still makes babies with you.
Kick him out and find someone else, just start using precaution and the pill or have your tubes tied. You don't need anymore little ones. Your body went through a lot in the last 5 years, you need a rest .

If you want to loss weight you have to eat less calerioes. The best thing to do is eat ONLY WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY. Most ppl will eat even though their stomach is not growling or they are not hungry just because they like the food. So do that and exersice a little bit.

I am so sorry your husband has been so insensitive with you about your weight. When I was a teenager my mother and my sister would critisize me about being overweight (I was 5ft 4in tall and 150 lbs). I know how it feels. Good Luck!

You have to lose it for YOU, not your boyfriend. Get a Dr. Phil book and figure out WHY you are heavy. That will help you alot. Good luck!!!
