I hope you're kidding about 2 things: First, that spanking him might be a solution to this problem, and 2. that you'd give up a child just because he's doing bad things. I'm also assuming you've instilled in him the difference between right and wrong and he may just be rebelling at this age. You have to have a series of serious talks with him and I would also suggest counseling. Good Luck

You spank your thirteen year old son?
How effective do you really think that is?
He's too old for spankings, DON'T have him adopted out just because you cannot handle him.
Have him sent to an alternative school that deals with children like him [[ sort of like a boot camp]].
YOU need to show him who the boss is.
Stop leaving him go out. Nail down his windows so he can't sneak out. Keep him inside if you have to...Getting rid of your kid doesn't make things better.

Good Lord!! That's terrible! Sounds like you BOTH need some professional help! My son could murder someone and I'd still be there for him -- there's nothing in this world my child could do that would make me give them away. You need to stop spanking a 13 year old for starters. That's ridiculous -- start taking away privledges -- and stick to your guns. There are schools and "boot-camps" for out-of-control kids that you could check into. Please don't abandon your son -- if he's screwed up now -- that'll finish him off ----- his mother is supposed to be the one in this world that loves him NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!

OMG -I hope you are joking. Spanking a 13 year old. I really hope this is some kind of a joke. I also hope the previous questions regarding your wife are a joke as well. You are one sad sad man.
If this is true it is probably due to your treatment of both of them. Your wife is probably depressed and your son is rebelling against you. The person who needs to change in your family is YOU. Maybe they can put you up for adoption.

Before you contact an adoption agency.Contact your local police department and ask them for some help or a place that you can send your son to. I would really reserch boot camps. I believe you are going to have to contact an outside source to help you with him. I would even check with the social service departments they maybe able to help also. Keep your strenght up. Its got to get better.

Really sounds like you are #1 mother here.
Your that easy to get rid of your son, that explains alot as to why he acts out like he is with the drugs and so forth.
Maybe he deserves a better mother than you and will help him with the problem instead beating him

Don't give him away you'll regret it.
This is something that you look out for during teenhood. I say you should talk to him one on one,and maybe if u have to teach him to a lesson send him to juvenile center for awhile.

The first thing I'll do if I was you is turn him it for stealing. You got a potential criminal there. Do something before is too late.
