I find it humerous that this question is in Religion & Spirituality, but anyway...

No... I don't think it would be so bad. Right now... what is happening to all the stem cells from abortions? They are being thrown away. No one would claim that abortion numbers would rise because stem cell research is allowed. I totally agree that stem cell research should be fully allowed.

Stem cell normally requires the abortion of babies in most cases. That is where most stem cells come from. Is murder worth waiting for a synthetic version?

This could be a possible altermative BUT.....
Embryonic cells used in stem cell research have not even been proved safe for RATS yet, and we have little knowledge of what they do. It is more of a struggle for money than anything. Adult cells, however, have greater uses and do not cost us the lives of babies.

which kind? their are 2 types of stem cells, one tht can be taken from men women and children (which has been the most succesful up to date) and the other taken from aboted fetus's which hasnt produced a single positive result yet....but still our great state of illinois decided to budget 50 mil on this non productive research...
