So why don't atheists mention Islam or Judaism or Wicca when they are trying to explain atheism?

sprcpt: If you choose to log on to a religion and spirituality forum, how are Christians attacking you? It seems to me more like you are attacking Christians, right? After all, you don't believe in religion or spirituality and therefore whenever you are "attacked" you could just leave and do something more pleasurable.

joetho: That sounds good in theory, but in practice the atheists on this forum are obsessed with Christianity. For example, I asked whether atheists could be moral and not one atheist made reference to Islamic morality or Jewish morality or Hindu morality. They only made references to Christian morality. Why?

Atheism is a deviance from Christianity. People reply with answers discussing Christianity to get that person back on the right track.

"Atheism is a deviance from Christianity"
Ouch... that one hurts my head. You really think christianity is the only religion out there, don't you? Atheism is like christianity the same way that bald is like a hair color.
Edit:
Why do we talk about christianity the most?
Christianity 2.1 billion
Islam 1.3 billion
Hinduism 900 million
Judaism 14 million
That's why. If you were to break that down into english-speaking members of those religions (since we're on an english-language site) I'll bet the gap would grow significantly larger, even.

cuase people that believe fear those who say your full of shite . it hurts their feelings to be told they are morons. which 90% of athists will do at the drop of a hat. xains have some strange idea they are right and only their way is true and valid the book relgions are bad about that and its why the middle east has been at war with its self for so long they won't say hey you may have a point but i think i'll keep my way and i respect your thoughts but i can't subscribe to them . thats how the world would come to peace then the only wars would be for real reasons like money.

For some reason, Atheists seem obsessed with Christianity...I've wondered about this one myself.
I think, if I were truly an a-theist...having no belief in any god at all...I wouldn't bother to argue with people who did believe in a god or gods...what would be the point?
As a Christian, I don't go looking for atheists to argue with, either.
I honestly don't get it??

If atheists are replying that means that they have a sick fixation on Christianity and its followers. Atheism is a subtype of a Christianity. Now who's brainwashed? :0P

i think there are alot more christian people than atheist people...most christians have a faith that if you do not accept god as your savior you are going to hell...i think that is one of the reasons it is brought up so often...and there are many different types of christianity...

No, we are not a subtype of Christianity just most commonly attacked by them.
We are attacked by the theocratic laws violating our rights and freedoms that Christians are implementing by their hijacking of our purposely secular government, not just in this forum.
We are discriminated by our employers and neighbors by one of the most intolerant groups in human history.

Atheism (or A-Theism) is a non-belief in god. (hence the name)
To refute the other answer, it has no ties to Christianity.
They don't believe in any god. Period.
Atheists don't believe in Zeus, Azagthoth, or Jesus.
