if you are truly in love with someone, then you will not cheat on them, and you would not put them through all of that pain. If you love them, then you want to bring them joy, not hurt. When you love someone, then that is the only person that you want to be with, and no one else matters..

A person may be in love (not just men) but people are always finding new things. Men might be attracted to their girlfriends, love them, cherish them, and even want to marry them..but they will always meet someone that is different from their significant other. It might be a mistake, a one-nighter that meant nothing...but just to fulfill the need for our sexual desires, sometimes, it can't be helped. The girlfriend might not be doing things that the other is. The guy might be tired of the same things. Or maybe it's just different.
I complain to my boyfriend about him looking at other girls and he tells me this:
Men will always look no matter how hot the girlfriend may be. Even if she's a super-model, the male will always look at other girls because they are different. Different from the girl that they are with.
It's curiousity.

They may be in love but they may not be getting their needs met. Most men report the reasons for cheating are that their partner does not want to have sex frequently or that there is no variety in their sex life.
Most people who cheat have a foot out the door and a plan to leave but they are afraid of the financial and emotional trauma of divorce. Cheating is a way to meet their needs but not face the certainty of losing half their money and traumatizing their kids. Lots of people cheat until they get caught to prolong the pain, then divorce like they had previously planned once they get caught.
Women cheat for different reasons like self-validation etc but men cheat for sex.

I feel that men cheat on the ones that they love because they feel the need to be "wanted" by everyone like when they were single. I think staying with one person doesn't validate them enough in their minds.I don't think that it has anything to do with not being satisfied sexually, I think it's more of a ego booster for them. But I do think if you connect emotionally,sexually and intellectually with your partner you'll be so stimulated that you won't need to look for the extra boost somewhere else. TALK,ASK, LOVE.

I sincerely feel it is a combination of things.
1. Biological. Evolution has "hard wired" an instinct that man wants to impregnate as many women as he can. (economics force us to limit this, generally, to having as much sex as we can)
2. Men have a capacity to turn off feelings. Although they can seriously "love" a woman, they can also love more than one women.. They, often, don't have as much emotional integrity as women... so, they don't "beat themselves up" over Cheating on and using other women.
Translation: Don't hate the Playa! Hate the game.

Some men were just taught to be a certain way, others shaped by things that happened to them. Some people are not meant to be in a monogamous relationship, and to others it's the only way to go.

its just life, we were all built to have sex and make babies so life carries on. both sexes cheat. in my experiance a man cheats because he cant control his testosterone which makes love and sex 2 different things, but i believe when a woman cheats its out of the feeling of wantom, the desire to feel needed and they use sex to get that. other than that if someone enjoys sex alot and their partner dont that causes friction and cheating thoughts

I would say that they are not really in love. If they were they would not cheat because they know that would hurt the person.

Any guy that cheat's on a woman he is so in love with is lying to himself and to you. That's bullshit and no woman should have to put up with that.
