Inform yourself fully (all sides of the story) on the issues and candidates, and then vote your conscience. It's not about parties. It's about what is right for the country as a whole.

Too many people get obsessed with the whole party thing, like it's some kind of sporting match. They are too busy rooting for "their side" to realize that they may be hurting the county. This is not a game. It is about what is right and wrong, and acting on that!

Don't vote unless you're sure about your choices and what you're doing. Watch what politicians do, rather than just acting on what they say. Actions speak louder than words, and most politicians are more words than actions! Too many people vote one way because their friends of family vote that way. This is not a popularity contest! Voting is a personal and private thing, and it is far too important to take so lightly.

The test is simple. Republicans protect and defend the rich. Democrats protect and defend the working class. If you read any History you will know that is fact. Now, the question is are you rich or working class? Are you one of the 44 million Americans that have no basic Health Insurance, half of that number are women and children?. That is fact. Are you aware that under Republicans we have a $9 trillion national debt for working class tax payers to pay?
Are you aware that the Republican war in Iraq will cost working class tax payers $2 trillion over ten years.? Are you aware that the Republicans are shifting taxes from the rich to the working class tax payers to pay.?

First write down what you value most as relating to politics. Family Values, education and so forth. An then begin to listen and read to both liberal (NPR, Los Angels Times New York Times) and right wing radio (stations that have Rush Limbaugh and Hanity) and learn to read there ideologies. CNN and Fox news are good contrasting view points. Yet with Fox you will get more liberal view points along with conservative view points than CNN. Where CNN may give you more of a slanted left view, but that's OK. MSNBC sucks its a total propaganda machine for the left. ALWAYS NO THE FACTS BEFORE YOU VOTE. DON'T VOTE IN IGNORANCE

Read some news stories on the Republican War in Iraq. If you want more of this kind of leadership, then vote for them. Otherwise vote for a change.

I would say the exact opposite of John.

Take the advice of other users, visit web sites for the main political parties, read the political pages of your newspaper, listen to televised debates. Learn as much as you can about each individual candidate. That is more important than pinning yourself with a political label.

Take some Litmus paper from the Chemistry Lab, and test for acidity/alkalinity. Now which Party is more acidic? Obviously the other will be alkaline, because they DO NEUTRALIZE each other and produce neutral water.

Don't do either. Ignore both parties.

Look at the individual candidates. Think for yourself. Does the candidate support and promote the goals that you personally want. It doesn't matter what party they belong to.

Think independently. Vote your conscience.

There are no tests to tell if you are rep. or dem! When your an adult you will know which side of the fence you are on. You read and listen to what the politicians have to see and make your judgements on that.
