Try Cisco, from your nearest Liquor Store. Either that, Night Train, or Silver Satin.....lol...

Asti Spumante is way too sweet for this dish at least for me anyway.I recommend for an Italian dish a good dry red wine like Merlot but especially Chianti (a dry red wine) is very good and if you have extra bucks get Chianti Classico. Riesling is a nice white wine and should go well too but I would stay away from the Asti Spumante unless she is your only dinner guest.

There is a VERY mild red wine called Valpolicella. You can get it at the grocery store. I believe the brand I buy is Bolla. If she like sweet white wine she may like this. Otherwise (if she only drinks white) try serving her a Pinot Grigio. She will be pleasantly suprised. It is much better than Riesling.

You could go with a Riesling. But if you're cooking with wine, drink the same wine that you used to cook with. Happy cooking!

go with a prosecco spumanti... it is an italian sparkling wine (aka champagne) and this way you will be staying within italy... a riesling is a german wine.... and i would otherwise suggest a chianti instead, however, you are doing well in considering what she likes

Pinot grigio. But definitely have a bottle of chianti on hand, preferably the kind that has the woven straw thing around the bottle--this will totally add ambience!!!!

Reisling rocks! So does the wine in the link below... Gewürztraminer.

To find a red wine she may like, try beaujolais. It is light, and kind of sweet.

italian food MUST be served with red wine... no ifs and or a$$es... white wine would be awful...

go with anything red that you enjoy :)

My dad is an Italian homebread chef... He usually serves dinner with Chianti... by far most complimenting
