There are two girls, one disapearing, a ship on the sea that you can see through a door, a mirror with a note, ice figures, and a hot air balloon with plants in it on the left side. I think the title is in french, but translated it means something like, " in the spaces of the memory". I can't remember!!

It's called "Entre Les Trous De La Memoire" ("Between the Gasps of Memory"),by Dominique Appia. A link to his website is below; if you click on the ship beyond the door, you'll see the whole painting. (Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is the famous one with the "melting watches"...)

It sounds like a painting by Salvador Dali. I think you`ve got the wrong name though. 'Persistence of Memory' is a surrealistic painting by him, but it`s not the same as the description you provided. Look up Salvador Dali on the internet, you might find it

possitive it is a dali piece..... im thinkin the gasps of memorys also had the books on fire around center floor.
but there are a few that fit into your discription..... head to the dali sites.
