Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so.... how come no one knows this any other way?

Little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong... well, I don't know how they belong to him when they were born to their parents, but aside from that... he couldn't even carry the cross without help... that's strong?

Then they go on to repeat that Jesus loves you and the bible tells you is why you should believe.... this repeating of that last line sounds very much brainwashy. The more you repeat something the more you will tend to believe it.

I know I'm gonna get yelled at for asking this... what else is new though.

Come on..... if you are going to criticize Christianity, you can do better than that.

It is a simple song to tell you that Jesus loves you. Period. If you don't believe it, read it in the bible. The song is simple enough for all people to understand it...from 1-101.

Little ones don't "belong" to us. They are given to us by God to take care of and raise as christains until he comes back for us.

Have you ever thought that He had a human form and therefore physical human weakness. He permitted help with His cross to show us it is ok to need and accept help. Think what you want. He who sends children to their parents loves them. Believe as you wish I love the song. You didn't say the other verses:

Jesus loves me! This I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
Refrain:
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

2.Jesus loves me! This I know,
as he loved so long ago,
taking children on his knee,
saying, "Let them come to me."
(Refrain)

3.Jesus loves me still today,
walking with me on my way,
wanting as a friend to give
light and love to all who live.
(Refrain)

1st answer:

Thinking of something new does help in some ways but does not, in my experience, accomplish much in the long run.

2nd answer:

This song describes a relationship that could affect quality of life and, if it does so, would be worth repeating.
