There are services that will do this for you. Particularly camera shops. Pretty cheap too.

The easiest way to do this at home is by buying a adaptor for your computer which plugs into your USB port. The adaptor connects your VCR to your computer by Audio/Video jacks, you kno the yellow, white and red cords. Here look at Circuit City they sell them...

Once you have connected everything up, you'll gonna need some recording software to convert your VHS tapes to DVD. Pretty much the bottom line is after everything is setup for your hardware, you'll play your VHS tape, record it to your PC. It will convert it to mpeg so that you'll then be able to burn it to a DVD. Hope you have a DVD Burner! Then if you have some proper DVD burning software you'll be able to add chapters and a menu in your recoring video if you wish. Hope this helps for you!

The easiest way to do that is to: Call around different places such as CVS,Walgreens, Targets or a local photo shop and ask them if they provide a service that is able to convert VSH to DVD. And if so ask them about how much does it cost and how long does it take. Most of these places ( like CVS because I have done this before a few time) have this type of service and it usually takes about 1 week and cost around 25-30 bucks. These places that have this service take your VHS tape, personal information (name number) your order excately how you want it and then sends it out to another lab . I think this is a much cheaper way to do this instead of buying whatever you need to do it yourself because we all know that sooner or later we will run into problems and who will be there to help? So try CVS Pharmacy they have really good machines and service.

you can buy VCR hook-ups for a PC. simply hook-up the VCR to your PC, put in the VHS, place a blank DVD into a DVD RW drive and copy the data over.
