Ultimately you pay the price for your sin. However it takes your loved ones as well.

Physically speaking, if you got into a gun fight and were shot and could no longer walk, your family is now being taxed for your sin. They would have to bear your handicap.

Spiritually speaking there is something called generational curses that pass down from generation to generation. Only thing that can break these "curses" is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Only if they participate and it becomes their sin as well. As others have answered, each is responsible for their own sins. It's not like they're going to be punished by God for your sins, but if you are, for example, a drug dealer and you do it out of your home, you shouldn't be surprised if your family get's hurt somehow in the process. That would be your fault and your family would be taking the punishment. (They're could be many examples: a kid finds a gun in the home and shoots himself/somebody else, or you end up getting some of your family addicted to drugs, or a bad deal goes down and somebody does a drive-by on your house, etc...)

The people that you love could be deeply affected by your sin. Though sin is ultimately between the sinner and God, your sin could cause other to suffer. For example, say a man cheated on his wife. This would not just affect him, but also his wife, his children, and the entire extended family. This could cause the children to be untrusting towards partners and parents, or to make the same mistakes. The chain could go on for generations. Therefore, the answer to your question is YES.

They can be affected by your sinning, but your sins cannot be imputed to them. Just because you know someone or you are related to someone does not mean that your sin will jump off onto them. Any such belief is witchcraft. You and you alone are responsible for your sin nature. You and you alone bear the consequences for your sin. Jesus died for you so that you would not have to do so, so that you could inherit the kingdom of heaven if you accept him as your Lord and Savior. Jesus loves you.

In this life, yes. That's an unfortunate answer, but remember, your actions affect those you love. For example, if you are a man who has a family and commit a crime (sin), you may go to jail. If you go to jail, your wife will not have the income to care for your children the way she could when you both were home. I hope you understand that our actions hit our families first.

According to the Bible, if you sin then God will punish your descendants "unto the seventh generation". How many times does God punish whole populations for the mistakes of their rulers or whole generations for the sins of others?

The people that you love will not be punished for your sins.
However, they may suffer the consequences of your sins.

You are not going to be punished for your sins, your friends will not be punished for your sins (or their own). That is a lie to scare people and to keep them in line. Don't worry about it.

The Bible says that your children will suffer from your sins and that you have suffered because of your parents sins. I can believe that but not in the sense that when I commit a sin my son will go to hell. My sins are human mistakes and they can effect my son. My son's father hasn't been around at all. My son is suffering because of my decisions that I made in the past. I don't believe he will go to hell because of that but he is suffering not having a father around. When I bounced a check and didn't have money for 2 wks he suffered having to eat sandwiches and mac-n-cheese for days.

All our mistakes/errors/sins effect ourselves and people around us. That is what the Bible means by this.

By God? I am sure He *can* but He doesn't.
By the humans that surround you? Sure
They are also punished by the pain caused by your sin. For example. We have a great uncle who was very abusive. His children then followed through by abusing their children. My great uncle and aunt were then murdered by their grandchild. Lots and lots and lots of emotional punishment there.
