Hi,
I have some old PC games that I would like to play again. The games are Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret. They were published by Origin in 95 and 96 and both run through MS-DOS. Is there a way to play these games on XP, I have heard people talk about emulators but would like to here more.

Cheers
Tom

since these will make your machine got right into a proper dos type mode. but u need to make sure u boot from the floppy drive.

there is lots of emulators.
and website that has all the old games in java/flash format.
i use http://www.oldgames.com/

In Windows XP there is a way of running MS-DOS-based applications but it doesn't work all the times. Right click on the exe file, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab and you'll know what to do.

Oh My Dear
it is very easy
you must right click on exe file
and go to the compatibility tab
and in compatibility Mode
enable the check box " Run this ......"
and select Windows 95 Or Windows 98
ok
good luck

Some games will NOT work under XP full stop, the only possible alternative is this handy little emulator:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

Download the win32 version, read the instructions and away you go.....it's not difficult and many more games work this way than using XP compatibility mode.

Download the emultor or install windows 98 then you'll be able to use MS DOS. Xp doesn't really like DOS - Doddz

Yes most wonderfully. Just need to get a free MSDOS emulator then set the speed proper for your CPU then things will run quite well all those old games and stuff. Let Me look on my machine....here it is... DOSBOX 0.65 set your speed to 26000 or so for a 3GHZ machine. GOOD LUCK Comrade.

I'm not sure if your going to need emulator for that. All you gotta do is go to command line mode an install from there I think not sure. But supposedly the softwares are downward compatible.

yes, under system compatibility in system tools you can have them convert the application to run on XP. Just make backups because it does not work with everything.
