do you think they should make light waight iron armor for the solders in the u.s army and by light waight i mean pieces to cover vital spots like chest biceps thieghs feet and head and back of hand

no, kevlar in current use is lighter per bulk than iron, allows more manueverability, and also presents the advantage of offering some protection against bullets, most of which would punch straight through iron body armor. also iron is HEAVY in general. IF you wanted to build lightweight solid metal armor, steel would be a better choice, but again, would not stop bullets on personnel as well as the current kevlar does.

They are not fighting with the swords and of such type arms, as in older days, to have the iron armour of the type you described. Fighting is by rifles, grenades, bombs, and the iron armour is useless before these things.

No!! That just sounds stupide plus it would be more difficult to handle a weapon its already hard enough with the armor we have now.

My son is & it would not only slow movement but would make the 118 degrees tempature in Iraq unbearable.
