I'm an ice cream junkie. I love it. I don't really like other "junk" food (especially burgers). When I was in England, I ate ice cream several times each day. I know I shouldn't eat too much of it, but nothing bad happened as a consequence. But since I do eat a lot of it, what effects would eating too much have over a long period of time? Also, what are some healthier alternatives to ice cream, or are there some healthy ice cream recipes out there?

There are lots of really great low fat and/or no sugar ice creams. Other than the sugar and fat ice cream is just about the perfect food. Find the healthier varieties and enjoy!

Um weight gain comes to mind... and all the bad things that come with it...

Ice milk or frozen yogert or sherbert would be alternatives.

But not to make things worse but if you like Ice Cream... have you ever tried Frozen Custard? Like Ice Cream ONLY RICHER.

Other than heard disease from all the heavy cream, I dunno. I love ice cream too...I'm especially addicted to milk shakes and iced coffee drinks that contain ice cream. Bad, bad, bad habit. BUT everything in moderation. :)
