Why do women walk so slow?

And why is it when they get to the check out counter, they are never ready to pay?

i HATE people who walk slow!!! it's men AND women and i CAN'T STAND IT! I also hate people who aren't ready at the checkout. Drives me INSANE! Usually, it's mothers with 4 kids hanging all over them. Which is understandable. It's those girls who twirl their hair around their finger and chew gum and say, "like, OH MY GOD, like, i can't find my MONEY! like, check out my rack, can i like, get this for free?" I feel as though my IQ drops everytime i hear it.

To the first part, the average woman is shorter than the average man. Therefore their legs are shorter making their stride shorter. You are asking them to work harder than you to get to the same place. I have a feeling that if you were around very tall women, they would say that it was YOU that walked too slow. That's called relativity.

To the second part, your question makes a blanket assumption that cannot be proven. Some women are never ready to pay when they get to the checkout counter. So are some men. I would say that some people are not ready when they get to the checkout counter because being ready isn't as important to them as it is to you. If this is true of your significant other (does anyone else STILL use that term?) and it drives you crazy, find a new partner. Otherwise, realize that we are all different and that what is important to you may not be important to someone else.

Please don't make blanket statements like those! I am a hiker and therefore, I walk pretty fast for a girl with shorter legs than my husband! I actually get after him for walking so dang slow! Also, while we're at it, why do men trip over **** so much?! Mine trips a dozen or more times when we go hiking!
As for not being ready at the counter, you are barking up the wrong tree, dear! I hate paying with a check for anything and I've got my debit card ready or my cash in hand when I get up to the counter! So don't go around making those kind of irresponsible statements, they're insulting to women like me!

most women walk slow because it's more ladylike. as to why they're never ready at the checkout counter, that's just them being inconsiderate and thinking that everyone behind them should wait for them. i also hate it when some women are driving and they don't know if they're going to make a left or right turn and so they just drive 15 miles an hour in the fast lane!

Let me guess your a man right. First of all, some women walk slow, others walk fast. You can generalize all women into one category. Secondly, they are never ready to pay because we have to dig through our purses. Men can just whip out their wallets. Women usually have a lot of stuff in their purse, so it takes awhile.

They usually walk slower because their legs aren't as long as their male counterparts. As for the check out counter, they may be trying to think if there's anything else they need before checking out. Fortunately, I'm not one of them.....Hope this helps

Accept it as it is part of life. Women walk slower and take more time to do most anything. They can think about 10 things at once and carry tons of stuff. We as men think more on a single track and are more oriented to one task at a time. So just appreciate that they are as they are and enjoy the differences. This is part of being a guy.

We walk slower because our feet hurt from wearing heels all day! (Our legs are generally shorter, too...)

We aren't ready to pay because we just unloaded a huge cart full of groceries by ourselves and we're thinking about 20 other things besides paying -- like how we're going to fit all of this stuff into the car to get home -- and who's going to carrying it all in and put it all away!
