Well, I need to provide a context first. I am, for all practical and legal, purposes a foreigner in America! Wasn't born here, and haven't been long here to call myself 'perfectly acculturated'!

My pet peeve is the ignorance people show when I tell them that I am preparing to begin my 'residency'. Having spent the greater part of my year here explaining that a residency program is pretty different from a residency (as in acquiring a citizenship) to friends and folks, I have come to master that sly, all knowing smile that serves a dual purpose- spares my tongue that extra effort and conveys nothing of practical value (rightfully befuddling the ignoramus even more!).

If the shoe fits wear it, and no I'm not saying you are a bad driver but noboby hardly uses a turn signal anymore, why? Big trucks included too and i do drive big trucks.

The cashier only desires to income to count quantity to approximately 50 in english and a few words like small, medium, great, coke, sprite, sauce.

On the subject of etiquette…people who speak load when using their cell phone on commuter trains. There’s nothing worse then having to listen to someone’s annoying life story on the train ride home from a long day at the office.

Customers who yell at me when their sandwhich is made wrong. I read back their order to them, and they tell me it's correct. So the backline makes the sandwhich wrong, and for some reason, it becomes my fault. I'm just curious how this is happening?
