Try going through the state foster care program. You can foster to adopt children, and there are many kids out there that need a good home.

Ok, you got some good advice about adopting and working as a foster, but I have another IDEA. Try Big Sisters or...
What would you do with the rest of your life if you couldn't have any more kids?
Do you have a job, hobby, school or a husband or travel or a book that you want to involve yourself in? Could be that you are hiding your fear and lack of confidence about yourself and calling it "baby-lust." Maybe you should get to know what YOU can offer the world--all by yourself
You have raised your kids, Done, go on to the next part of your life.
Make cookies for a homeless shelter, volunteer at a museum, drive a handicapped child to her therapy, write songs to sing to blind children.
There are a thousand ways you can involve yourself with CHILDREN without raising another one, and tying yourself to soccer games, and fishing trips and a 7th grader when you are going through menopause.
You could have free time to drag your husband off for long weekends and get aquainted.

Bless you heart!! You can contact a local foster care agency & foster to adopt a child. There are thousands of kids in this country over the age of 5 would get shunned from prospective adoptive parents. Everybody wants a newborn! If I could afford it too, I'd have a house full of adopted kids. Good luck & best wishes!!!!

try becoming a foster parent after you establish yourself as a foster parent the state will help you
My husbands mother adopted him this way
she had his sister but almost died and was told to never have more or she and baby could both die
so she started foster care the last child she fostered was a little boy and when he went back to his mother she told the social worker she could not do it anymore she did not want to let him go because she had always wanted a son
the social worker asked why she had not adopted and she told her she could not afford it
the social worker then told her that the stat would help her because she had been a good foster parent
so that is how she got her son
my husbands mother was killed in a car accident in 2002 at her wake you should have seen all the foster kids who came to say good bye We were in absolute amazement at how she had touched so many children even if it was a short time
Oh and that last little boy he came too
maybe you are one of these few loving people to help so many and then receive your angel -good luck

I think its a great idea, but adoptions are very expensive. i think you should go for it double check with you husband to make sure its okay, and actually dont know what kind of fee they will wavie for you to get what you want, especially for a child in that age group, those are usually the ones no one wants. I say go for it

Talk to your local police or United Way. They can put you in touch with agencies looking for foster parents. It may not be permanent, but with all the love you have, you might could share it with kids from broken homes.

There are many reputable adoption agencies out there. Check your yellow pages to start with. I don't know if I'd go on-line to search. There's a lot to it. You have to get background checks done, fingerprints, etc.
Good luck with your search. Anyone who wishes to adopt a child and take them into their home to love deserves a lot of praise.
