Adam is the father of us all, so he had characteristics common to all men. He probably looked a lot like those in the Middle East look today.
He had no surname, as there was only one Adam at the time and no need for a surname. Those came about as the population increased and there was found a need to differentiate between all those with the first name of Adam.
There were in the Garden of Eden, which is believed to be somewhere in modern day Iraq. But, it's location is kept secret by God, so we on earth will never know exactly where it is.
It isn't apple. It's "fruit". "But of all the fruit of this garden you may eat, except the fruit of the tree of wisdom."

surnames are to identify one 'joey' from another ; Adam ,the first man,had no other person named Adam for over 900years;Adam ,the first man,of the garden east of Eden...now that would be a long surname don't ya think? By the By,when Adam took Eve and left the Garden of Eden what direction did they travel? There is no more fruit like that of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil around to know exactly, thus we try to exemplify with a apple. Why it is not around?? It served its purpose! ergo its name!! now hidden away!

I saw a special on National Geographic (I don't believe everything I see, but their was so much research done by the scientist) that said Adam was of East African origin. Like Ethiopia,Somalia,or possibly even Yemen.
But, who cares what Adam looked like. Everyone wants Adam to look like them and Jesus (PBUH) too. I mean who really cares what they looked like. But, basically you can figure out from biblical and Quranic history that most or all of the prophets were Arab or from the middle east. Even Ethiopia is named in the bible and Quran(abysinnia). And Ethiopia was a place that was not too far off from the middle east and therefore it has major roots in Judaism Christianity and Islam.

At this time in history there were no ethnic subcategories, everyone was the same, what they were exactly is speculation. One thing that awes me is that man and woman were unlike all the other animals, they were created in the image of God. We have abilities like creativity, language, intellect because of our design, we are very privelaged.
Apple isn't accurate, all we told is it was fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, it could have been a banana, but I think it was a fruit we have never seen.

First. When Adam existed there were no nationalities. So it doesn't really matter. Second, the bible never claims that the fruit is an apple. It just states that it is a "forbidden fruit."
