No, God is big enough to use any kind of music that can glorify His name. However you may not ever be comfortable with this in your worship service. You may check and see if they have a different service at a different time. Or you could try out some other Bible believing churches for a right fit. Since it sounds like you have no particular past affiliation.

The Methodist Church does not teach against more modern music in services. The type of music and structure of the worship service is usually decided by a Worship Committee, but is heavily influenced by the music director or leader.

Lots of Churches have more than one service on Sundays. More traditional one and a contemporary one. Some have the contemporary service on Saturday evenings. You may want to check with other Methodist Churches in the area - or check other denominations who offer contemporary services.
I find it odd that they did not even give you a reply.

Unless the church has a guest music artist one week or develops a fantastic choir, the music probably won't get any better. The songs sung by the congregation come right out of the hymnal. It is not against the religion or beliefs of the church, it's just not likely to happen.

Our Free Methodist church plays Third Day, Chris Tomlin, and Chris Redman songs. Individual churches have rules, but there isn't an overall rule.

The Methodist Church did no longer originate from the Puritans - they have been initially component of the Church of england yet left to establish their very own denomination, being disappointed with the Church of england's sloppy and careless suggestions-set in the direction of dignified worship on the time. presently, the two church homes delight in a stable courting and the two church homes have tried reunion a number of circumstances.

No, it isn't against the faith. (Sounds like you don't know much about the faith, so why not try the Church of Pop Music?)

No it is not against the faith to raise a joyful noise to the Lord and Praise His name. There are denominations that do not like up beat, but that is a personal preference.
