Why do some people say bars and nightclubs are a better place to meet people than the internet?

At a bar or nightclub you get the liquid courage from alcohol and then what they say and how they look does not matter anymore.

Well I wouldn't want to meet anyone in a night club or the internet, but I guess some may think it's better because you can see the guy/girl in person and converse with them, unlike the internet, where you may see a pictures that may not be them.
