me and my b/f been dating since our freshman year of high school and now we are seniors and i just can't say I LOVE YOU to him in person but i can tell him on the phone why is that? i really want to say but i can't tell him any ideas guys or girls it don't matter.

I had a problem like that too. so me and my man use sign language. The sign for SI love u is when u bend ur middle and ring finger while holding the remaining one's up. Then u point it at him and smile. He'll see the sparkle in ur eyes and know. Many ppl say those words and don't mean it..so don't fret that ur not saying it and mean it. The words will come. Just be happy u're able to back them up with actions...because that's harder to do. I only say this assuming u really do love him...if u don't, be honest with urself. But I do empathize with u...so here are my ideas. Actions really do speak louder than words.

If you really love him, you should be able to look him straight into his eyes and tell him you love him. If you can't that means you don't, or are afraid of admitting to yourself that you do. On the phone, those are just words, with little meaning. But when you are watching his every expression as he hears the words out of your mouth, then they have meaning.
Banish all your fears of pain and rejection. Let yourself be vulnerable. Imagine standing naked in front of a fierce lion and not running. Not running because you have something to say and you aren't going anywhere till you say it. Then look into his eyes unflinchingly, and lay your heart bare to him. Tell him how you feel, and let him destroy you if he likes. Because if you can't do that, then you don't love him.

you obviously have some kind of issue deep down inside of you... there is a reason why you cant tell him, and you need to figure out that reason asap. im sorry to say it but if you only tell him you love him on the phone then he probably doesnt belive you but he obviously likes you a lot if hes still with you.

Are you a shy person? Seems like you're having problem in expressing your feelings to him in person but you said you can tell him on the phone. Don't be shy girl, just tell him in person. You'll get use to it.

well,its just that you lack self confidence and thats the reason you are scared to express your feelings but trust me its not worth keeping your love to yourself....just go ahead and tell him how you feel about him,its nothing wrong,infact its the most wonderful gift you can ever give anyone and the pleasure you get it by saying in person will not be over the phone,goahead and make his day by saying it to him,just look into his eyes,after all you love him and tell him or hug him and whisper in his ears.....goodluck!!

my guess is your are shy or you are just w/ him b/c its comfortable for you.. it is the only thing that you have know... get him alone and disguss you feelings.. and if you can't say that i love you in person maybe you really don't love him boyfriend/girlfreind wise maybe you just love him as a friend

well, same thing happend to me before and i love him very very much... actually, you love him that much until the word i love you feel so special to say... so, just don't rush.. doesn't mean if you don't say i love you to him in person means you don't love him.. i love you is not the only way to express your feelings...
