Bruised ego?
Wounded pride?
Greed?
Some people don't like the color of the carpeting in that church, so they decide to leave and start another?
I've seen people leave churches for all of these reasons...
But I think the biggest problem is disagreements over points of doctrine.

Prophecies by Thomas S Gibson 2004
There are many who walk in pride in the church thinking that they are someone important who will be used in the coming revival. But no? I will use the humble ones who are not part of the great organized man-made church. For the man-made man organized church will not partake of what is to come. For what is to come must come through the unhindered move of the Holy Spirit. Anything else would taint the move of God. So says the Lord God.
2004 Thomas S Gibson
My true church is not a denomination, but rather it is My people gathering into a local congregation with a name that represents the local area. Beyond this is a sin. For if one creates a division with Christ, one creates a division of My people which is wickedness.
2004 Thomas S Gibson
Thus saith the Lord. Those churches who are truly not part of division-making shall be blessed by Me. Those churches who will not stand as a true and separate church from divisions (denominations) shall be removed. I will no longer have divisions within My body. They shall be removed. I will do this in the coming years.
There are many more prophesies by this man. Just do a google search on his name, prophesies for today.

There is only one way to get to Heaven, and that is by accepting Jesus Christ as savior. Most Christians do not argue about that fact. The Bible is pretty clear on it.
Denominations are a result of various interpretations of the scriptures. A lot of it is very petty stuff -- like whether or not to baptize infants, or dedicate them to the Lord; whether to allow women into the ministry, and in what form; whether to dunk or sprinkle someone in baptism -- and a multitude of other things.... music, dress, etc.
When the church's rules are more important than the scriptures -- this is called legalism. Legalism is a dangerous thing, because it takes the focus off Christ. Be very careful and don't judge others based on the laws of men. Focus on Christ.
We are all saved by grace. When you come to realize that, you can overlook the differences of the various denominations to see that we are all ONE CHURCH, in Christ.

There is only one way to get to Heaven - through accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
All the denominations are the result of human arguing over nitpicky things like how to be baptized, what type of songs to sing during worship or what even what to serve at the monthly potluck (yes, there are some churches that have split over stupid stuff like that).

All the different denominations came about from people adding to or taking away from God's Word.
The Catholics added their traditions.
The Protestants tried, not to start new churches, but to reform the Catholic church.
If we want to do things God's way, we need to put aside all the teachings of men, and go back the Bible. Do Bible things in Bible ways and call Bible things by Bible names.
I have long rejected the term 'undemonational,' because people tend to use it to mean 'encompassing all the changes that people have added.' I used to use 'antidenominational,' but lately I heard somebody say 'predenominational.' That's more accurate. For more information about the predenominational church, follow the link below.

1 Corinthians 12:4
"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit."
Not every denomination or church agrees on every point in scripture, though all Christians agree that Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. Also, every church and denomination will be outfitted through their congregation with different strengths and talents, and through the Spirit they will have different callings.
They may be called to emphasize missionary work in foreign lands, or perhaps to emphasize study of antiquities to better understand the scripture, to teach, to preach, to do missionary work domestically, some to lead exhuberant worship, others to lie protrate in fervent prayer.
Same Lord, different calling.
Same body, different parts for different purposes.
Division of labor is not evil, nor does it necessarily show lack of unity.

Take a 5 witness to an event and you get ten different views. Now people are the same way with the Bible and what other people believe.

there is one way, but all the denominations just represent the different interpretations people want to fit their agenda. They are nothing but manmade rules that God never intended for His children. He has one simple commandment that we love Him and love others of course sincerely from the heart.

The pride of men causes church splits! "Proverbs 13:10
"Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom."
Jesus Christ Is the Only Way To Heaven!
In The Holy Bible, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. He meant “I am the only way to God the Father and to heaven”, “I am the only truth that you need to know.” and “I am the only spiritual life available to mankind.” In other words, “I am the only true and living God.”
All other so-called gods are false gods. They are not real. They do not exist. No other so-called god has the power to forgive, cleanse and remove all your sins from you to get you to heaven. They don't even claim to.
I pray you will believe this and accept the fact that you are a sinner needing to be saved from your sins (“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23, The Holy Bible.) and accept the fact that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only way you can have your sins forgiven, cleansed and removed and is the only way you can get to heaven. I pray you will acknowledge that you are a sinner and ask Jesus Christ to forgive, cleanse and remove all you sins and accept Him into your heart/life to live for Him the rest of your life. (“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12, in the Holy Bible.) That is what it means to be born again. (“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 in The Holy Bible.) Salvation is a free gift. You cannot work for it. You cannot be good enough to earn it. You must, by faith, receive it as a free gift. (“8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.”) Ephesians 2:8-9.
God loves you and it is not His will that you perish in hell.
(“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9 in The Holy bible.)
This is my prayer for you
