at times it depends upon d age of a child
he/she shuld b 15+
the smaller childrenn should nt b aloowed coz
even though they mayb xperts they can b affected by loads of things hope u kno wat i mean.

a blanket ban on anything only increases curiosity...instead allow them to chat with their friends and relatives on yahoo or msn or AOL and all the others available...
But if they veer towards chat rooms be wary coz its full of filth. But its not any good to generalize them, it mostly depends upon the age and maturity of the children in concern.

Promote other activities first, physical ones are much better than sitting in front of a monitor.
But if they do, it has to be monitored closely.
