Absolutely! Maybe not just as they claim, but pretty close.
A Brief Scenario of End-time Events
There is great debate about end-time events. Down through history there have been various time-tables explaining end-time events. We cannot be absolutely certain all of the following is correct but here is a possible brief summary of end-time events.
The next great event in God's dealings with the human race will be the -Rapture (taking up off the earth to heaven) of God's people, the Church. All non-believers in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior form all their sins will be left behind to go through the Tribulation, seven years of chaos and hardship specifically for Israel and generally for the rest of the world.
(During the Tribulation, the Church, the body of Jesus Christ, will be in heaven at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and before The Bema, the Judgment seat of Christ, to receive their rewards according to how well they let Jesus Christ rule and reign and have His way in their lives while they were on the earth. During the Tribulation some people on earth will also have a chance to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior from all their sins. Some of them will be martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ.)
-Shortly after the Rapture the mystery of iniquity will begin to unravel. The Antichrist, Satan incarnated in a person, will appear on the scene to take control of the world's religious, political and economic (financial) systems and establishes a peace accord with Israel.
-The 144,00 Jews will be sealed for salvation. These will witness to the world the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
-The Jewish temple will be rebuilt.
-At the temple's dedication, 3&1/2 years later, the Antichrist will set himself on the altar of the temple, claim tobe God and demand the Jews and all peoples of the world worship him (This is called the Abomination of Desolation).
-The last 3&1/2 years of the tribulation is called the Great Tribulation when God severely judges the nation of Israel for their rebellion against Him in not receiving His Son, Jesus Christ, as their Messiah when He was here on earth the first time, some two thousand years ago.
-At the end of the Great Tribulation the Antichrist will gather most of the nations of the world together to attempt to destroy Israel in the Battle of Armageddon.
-Jesus Christ will appear and set His feet down on the Mount of Olives. The Mount of Olives will be split down the middle and a great earthquake will level the country around Jerusalem. Israel will recognize Jesus Christ is their true Messiah and be converted to Jesus Christ as their personal Messiah in one day.
-The Antichrist's army gathered for the Battle of Armageddon will be destroyed by Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ will put the Antichrist into the Bottomless Pit to be there a thousand years.
-Jesus Christ will then judge the nations. Those nations who treated Israel kindly and protected them through the ages and especially during the Tribulation will be called Sheep Nations and will go into the Millennium to be with Jesus Christ as He rules the world, with His believers, through the nation of Israel from the throne of David in Jerusalem.
Those nations who hated Israel and mistreated Israel through the ages and especially during the Tribulation will be called Goat Nations and will be put into the Lake of Fire.
-The Millennium (1,000 Years) will be a great time of peace and prosperity when Jesus Christ rules the world in righteousness for a thousand years. No wars will be allowed except at the end of the 1000 years.
-At the end of the Millennium the Antichrist (Satan) will come out of the Bottomless Pit to once again gather the nations together to try to defeat Israel and Jesus Christ as ruler of the world in the Battle of Gog and Magog. Jesus Christ will once again defeat that army and this time He will cast Satan into the Lake of Fire to be there forever. The Lake of Fire is called the second death.
-After that Jesus Christ will take everyone (all true believers in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior from all their sins) to heaven to be there when He renovates the earth by fire to destroy all vestiges of sin from the earth.
-After that the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven and be put on the earth for all true believers to dwell there for 33,000 years (1,000 generations of 33 years each). That is called The Perfect Age. That will truly be heaven on earth. Sin will be no more. Peace and prosperity will flourish.
-At the end of those 33,000 years Jesus Christ will turn everything over to God the Father for all to dwell in heaven for ever. Then God will be all in all. The full meaning of heaven is not fully disclosed in The Holy Bible. It is a wonderful place, beyond description. I hope you go there!
Take this for what it is worth. No one can be absolutely sure of what and when God has events planned.
Please do your own study of The Holy Bible and other books to confirm or disprove the validity of this brief summary.

I believe that the rapture will happen, the world will go thru a seven years of tribulation with the World being lead by the anti-Christ and at the end Jesus will come back to this earth to rule for 1000 Years. What Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins wrote in Left Behind was what could happen to people during that time.

Yes!! Most of the prophecies that need to be fulfilled before the "second Coming" are already fulfilled.
i.e. The rebirth of Israel, the unification of Europe, a huge increase of worldwide natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, etc), a huge increase of Diseases, endless wars. "just like the days of Noah", Evil Everywhere. And SO MUCH MORE!!
It all begins when the one who is "the Antichrist" will successfully bring a 7 year peace treaty to the middle East and Israel.
We are not there yet, but it is not too far off.

Nope. It amazes me that Christians had such a problem with Harry Potter but have practically built shrines to Narnia and The Tribiation. Fantasy is Fantasy....only fools would make it into a religion. (Star Trek is the only true religion anyhow!)

I think their books are very entertaining. I also think they are a blend of fact and fiction and alot of drama. And yes, the bible states an Anti-Christ will be made known and he will have alot of followers, and many will be deceived.
We'll just have to wait and see...

Most of what they have written go along closely with the scripture outlining the end times. I don't necessarily agree with every crossed t and dotted i, but for the most part I believe it's true.

Their books are taken from the Bible and embroidered. Believe the Bible, not the embroidery.
I think they meant for readers to get interested and read Bible prophecy.
