Why do they think they are superior?I had a state trooper screaming at me for going 40 through a toll booth. And saying things like... I had better have papers on my car. He even took my E-pass . checked it to see if I had money in it. He was so mad he was spittin as he yelled. Now, why do they have to treat a woman like that? I was upset for the rest of the day.

well, respect is earned, and you certainly do not earn any by going 40 through a toll booth.
And, if you have to be in front of a judge, again, something's happening there.

Let's see here....You freely admit to speeding through a toll booth at 40 MPH and a trooper yells at you. Well you deserved it. You should have had the book thrown at you. The judge probably already did that by the way it sounds. You are lucky you didn't kill a toll employee, because then you'd have more than just a trooper and a judge yelling at you. I don't have ANY pity for you, even if you are a woman. If it was me yelling at you, you would STILL be crying!! Get over it, Stupid!!!

Aren't toll booth speeds 5 or 10 MPH?? Why were you going so fast? Because you had EZ PASS?? Well what if you killed a toll worker or rear-ended anther car?? That trooper had every right to yell at you!!! People like yourself don't even think of anyone but yourselves. SHAME ON YOU!! 40 MPH through a toll booth??? Are you STUPID or just BORN that way??? "Boo-hoo a trooper and the judge yelled at me. Boo-hoo-hoo." Well you DESERVED EVERY BIT!!! I would've done more than yell at you. I'd ticket you for anything I could think of....and then some. Get over it.

Think about what you said, 40 mph through a toll booth, where people work and cars are stopped or slowing down. If you cannot be courteous enough to follow the rules of the road, then give up your driver's license. As far as I am concerned the officer was doing his job. I hope he gave you as many tickets as he could. Your feelings have no bearing on what an officer is sworn to do.

First of all, 40mph through a TOLL BOOTH!? You DESERVE to be yelled at. In NYS the speed limit through a toll booth with EZPass is only 10mph. My father worked for the State Thruway Authority and was almost hit one too many times by idiots like you. What are you in such a hurry for that you can't slow down for just a few minutes? Even ambulances doing emergency transports slow down for the toll booth (been there, done that).

You should be upset the rest of the day - you should be ashamed of yourself - you should be lucky he didn't ticket your a$$. It's not because you're a woman, it's because you're an idiot driver.

I have no sympathy for morons like you that have no regard for the lives of people working in that environment.

Gee, I don't know. Sounds like you have had a lot of experience with judges though. Let's analyze here.

If you were in the proper lane for E-pass, and were at 15 or less, and waited for the light to turn green, instead of going through at 40, do you think you would have been noticed and stopped? I'm sure he would have treated a man exactly the same way for the same offense and the same attitude you gave him.

To avoid any contact with police or judges, simply follow the law.

Not enough details included in your post to know why for sure,

but alas I will try.

Police officers are the most stressed people in the world they get shot at yelled at attacked as part of their job. Also they may have additional stress say home life problems and or work related problems that are effecting them.

40 mph on easy pass in WV you slow to 5 mph at the booth easy pass or no, he might have thought you were a danger to the public and was venting his anger from issues on to you for what he felt was reckless endangerment which is a felony.

First of all. You disvered to get yelled at. 40 through a toll booth...are you stupid. The max speed is like 5mph. Secondly, they don't think they are superior, IT'S THEIR JOB TO ENFORCE THE RULES. Thirdly, there not sexist. The reason you were upset the rest of the day is because you are a women. You would be pissed if he DIDN'T talk to you.

File a complaint with the Toll Office. Of course this still doesn't justify you going thru the toll at 40 mph.

Slow down. The toll ways aren't raceways. If the sign at the toll booth says to do a certain speed then obey it. Most toll booth speeds are 5 MPH. I can't say I blame him any for yelling at you. What if you struck a toll booth attendant and kill him or her???? You DESERVE to be yelled at for driving unsafely. SLOW IT DOWN, STUPID!!! You need to be yelled at if you sped through a toll booth. GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!!
