Our living room is in the back of the house and we have french doors that open inside that lead to our patio. I make all of my own drapes and am just stumped as to what options I have with these new doors. I want a lined curtain of some sort and nothing swaggy. I've already chosen my fabrics, just looking for style ideas.

My husband likes to rest in there with the curtains closed and watch TV. I'm looking for something that can be pulled back.

Just attach them onto the door top and bottom. They will move with the door and not flip around when you open them

Just put a rod the entire length of the doors and for about 3 inches on each side. I then made my own drapes (very simple -- just hem both sides, and make a rod pocket the same size top and bottom), then mount them on the rod. After that, just slide them to one side and open the french door when you need to (I put a fabric strip on a small coordinating piece so that I could tie back the drape to the side and not have it interfere with door movement).

It is easy!
