The KKK was anti-catholic, but very clear about their protestant christian beliefs.
Hell, MOST christians in the US are anti-catholic, so that gets you nowhere.

Well, if they don't talk about it they don't have to deal with it. And you get the ones, who when it is brought up, will recite a bible verse and that's supposed to answer the question and make it all good.

How do you mean we don't talk about those people? Ever since WWII many christians thought that Adolf Hitler was that the last emperor of the prophesies in Daniel chapter 7. The prophesy says that there will come four kingdoms that will control a great portion of the world. The first starting with Babylon. Many believe the second was the Persian Empire. The third is the Roman Empire. Finnally the German Empire. just like prophesy said, each was lesser than the one that came before. The prophesy also said that not a generation will pass from the last Empire that the return of Messiah will come. Scary if you think about it, but we would be at towards the end of that Generation if the German Empire was the one spoken of by Daniel.
I hope this helps, but if not, could you elaborate on your question a little more so that I can provide a better answer?

Boy, Stalin made the athiest thread too. Y'all gotta choose: Athiest or Christian.
Hitler, on the other hand, was more a participant in occult type religions than anything Christian.
The Klan IS an embarassment.

You are what you are. My ex hubby told me his family had ties to the KKK. Whether or not that is true I don't know. (He lied a lot) I did meet his father and I know his father (ordained Baptist Minister) doesn't like other color of people because it says in the bible not to mix races. I told him because we are all human and their is a human race doesn't that mean not to marry a goat. Some people are ashamed what families ancestors have done. Its not much different from kicking out you own son or daughter for doing something illegal or wrong. Two words: Social Status.

So all Christians should be judged based on the actions of past lunatics who might have evoked the name of God? That's ludicrous.
So how about this: should *you* be held accountable for every crime and atrocity committed by your ancestors? Would that be fair to hoist you on your own petard?

Yet another stuuuupid feud between atheists and Christians hmmm? Why feed into it?
Oh yeah...the Klan falls more under the heading of idiot un-edumicated rednecks with hairy backs and bald heads title not Christians. Many were agnostics and atheists only giving their oaths so they could burn crosses and kill black folks.

Christians would talk about it, if you asked them to.
There's a lot of things a lot of people don't talk about - are you going to bring up all of them, or just this one?
