You may FEEL fresh but you are not!
Latest studies show that we need a LOT more sleep than previously thought. Doctors now say its 8+ hours per night, MINIMUM, any less and you start having problems. Less than six hours and your reaction time begins to slow to the equivelent of .18 blood alcohol rate, (legally impared).
Over 80% of car accidents, air crashes, work related accidents, medical errors, police violence etc., all occur when the person reponsible is operating on less than 6 hours per night sleep!

7 1/2. Some research claims that you should sleep in 1 1/2 hour intervals because that's how long a REM cycle is. It really depends on the person, too. I could function well on 6 hours of sleep a day.

To be precise, 9 hours of daily sleep is a must. But with the degrading quality of lifestyle, it has become impossible to sleep for long hours. Hence, 6 hours of sleep is advisable. If that too, isn't possible, better sleep for 4 hours in the night and thereafter, sleep whenever you get time, in batches.
Happy Sleeping!!
