OO OOOO a trip to Exeter's magnificent Cathedral and quayside...a Cream tea at the Royal clarence Hotel {4 star}.
In the Evening a short car ride to the Fishermans cot Pub and restauraunt, beautiful scenery and the bridge that inspired the Simon and garfunkel song {bridge over troubled water}.
The next day you could take a ride to dartmoor national park and visit the quaint little village of widdecombe-in the moor, thats a lovely village {picture postcard stuff}

A horse and cart ride around Cockington (Torquay)
Hunt for Gus Honeybun
Drive up to Dartmoor, check out Haytor and Jay's Grave (at Hound Tor). There's a good legend about that place. And look at all the ikkle ponies before they're made into glue.
Berry Pomeroy castle, it's haunted as anything! (between Totnes and Paignton)
Fishing and boat rides around Torbay (The Western Lady is good)
Do the Agatha Christie trail

Devon's not been the same since they gave up doing Radio 1 roadshows :-( Poor Smiley Miley :-(

Visit Dartmoor , come to Tavistock , avoid Pymouth is is chaotic wih all the new developments and building taking place. Visit Tamar Valley and fly in hot air balloon in the Hot Air balloon festival this week end or take a ride in a helicopter .

I'm afraid you just missed the Beautiful Days festival, and Totnes Carnival... However next month there is Totnes Festival that seems promissing.
If you need a good campsite, try Beara Farm, nr. Backfastleigh (Old totnes road...)

A lot of the must do things have been and gone but just being here in Devon is great at any time of year or in any weather. The coasts are great, the scenery spectacular... Can you tell i love it here????
