Not sure I get your meaning. Jewish in what term? G-d has my priority.

American.

Being openly Jewish all the time seems to carry with it quite a bit of negative stigma.

Being Jewish is a religion, Being American is a nationality.

If someone asks what I am, they usually are asking specifically - nationality, race, sex, religion... None takes priority over the other, they are all different categorizations.

Why Jewish and American? Does this combination of faith and country have a unique conflict associated with it? I love my country, but if I had to choose to make a stand on the behalf of one or the other, God takes precedence. Aside from Him, nothing matters.

Do you mean "jewish law" vs "american law" or "israel" vs "america".
Jewish law is more important than american law (not that they really conflict).
for israel vs. america -- it would depend on who I thought was right. But I certainly have a bias to israel -- being that its the holy land, and that so much of my family (jews) live there.
