There are many reasons that she may not come to dinner when called. She might not be hungry, she may not care for the food you are giving her, she may have a stomach full of hairballs (she is a long haired cat after all), or she may be partially deaf. If you don't like her, by all means, find a new home for her, but if you do like her, try to find out what's wrong.

you should give her a little time to be called that. look at her straight in the eye and say snobby cat and then snap yuor fingers are pat the floor and see if she comes try that a couple of times. if it does not work go on the internet and look for some activites to do with your cat and keep calling her name and she will eventualy know that is her name.

Cats are not suppose to respond when called. They only respond to what they want to respond to. They definitely will not respond to being called. It's against the entire "Cat Code of Ethics". For you expect it to respond is foolish...to keep calling him will only annoy the cat and frustrate you. If you want "response"--get a dog.

Ever heard the phrase "Cattitudes"? It says it all. Cats have personalities all their own, many with too much attitude. I have a 18 year old black calico, I got her when I was 4 and she's always been like that. She pays attention to me when and ONLY when she wants to. She'll let me pet her for only as long as she wants. Its more like she's the one who owns me. Get used to being her pet.

most cats don't come when being called, being that this is a white cat are you sure that it isn't deaf. go to the vet and have it checked out. it's pretty uncarring to sell your cat just because it won't come when it's being called.

I don't know that she's hopeless. She just may not want to come in quite yet. I used to stand at my front door calling for my siamese male to come in for dinner and he would just ignore me...till one night I went through the same routine and my husband said "enough of this" slammed the door shut...and sure enough when he finally go hungry "his royal highness" decided to come through the door.

You have just perfectly defined most cats...they allow you to be a part of their life when it suits them best...people do not have cats, cats have people.

that's just cats for you. I feed mine dry food, and when its feeding time, I call her name and shake the bag. She runs out like crazy. Even if you call her name, she comes out and waits for the sound of her food bag to start shaking. if not, she just sits there.
